Stranded

While our British neighbours swelter in unheard of October heat, Ireland is wet, cold and shrouded in fog thick as a quilt. Hence my trip home to Ireland for my weekend workshop has been extended by at least aday, due to cancelled flights.

Needless to say, work is not that happy I was unable to return this morning, but there’s nothing I can do for now. And I might as well use the time to work on my Six Month Challenge novel, see friends and bring the workshop project to the next stage.

Another silver lining on this Irish foggy day is that I received an email  to say I’d been longlisted for the Highlands and Islands Short Story Competition. It’s a longlist of 25 down from 400 entries, so not bad going and the shortlist will be announced on teh 20th of October.

I hope all you 6-monthers are clockingup the words : )
